History of the Cycle Kings Motorcycle Club Atlanta Chapter

The Atlanta chapter was established on 12/20/2003 with the blessing of the Cycle Kings Trention, NJ mother chapter.  Our pioneering founder E-Dogg was raised in New Jersey with the Cycle Kings and felt that Atlanta would benefit greatly from a local Cycle Kings chapter.

We are an African American, LAW ABIDING motorcycle club open to all riding styles and motorcycles.  Our mission is to serve the greater Atlanta community, helping the homeless, children, widows and orphans.  We ride hard (no fair-weather riders allowed - after-all we are  from Trenton N.J.).  Our motto is "Ride Hard or Stay Your Punk Ass Home!" We love the wind in our face, the steel in our palms and bugs beating against our brow.  We are the Cycle Kings forever, forever Cycle Kings.

Our founding members are:

  • E-Dogg
  • Pappy
  • Old School
  • Hard Drive
  • Lil' Katman

History of the Cycle Kings Motorcycle Club Mother Chapter

The Cycle Kings motorcycle club was founded circa 1972 by Johnnie Stokes. Johnnie Stokes was associating with a few other motorcycle clubs, when he noticed that the clubs in the area were not progressing. There were several black motorcycle clubs in Trenton area around that time. There were the Wheels of Fire, the Afro Shields, The Professionals, City Cruisers, Cycle Crusiers, Garden State Shifters.

There has been four motorcycle clubs at the Calhoun St. location since 1948. They were Trenton Devil Dogs, Trenton Eagles, Northstar Riders and the Cycle Kings.

Stokes was familiar with the clubhouse located on Calhoun St. . So he went to look at the club and went back to four of his fellow riders and they agreed to start there own motorcycle club and use the Calhoun St. location as there clubhouse.
